When the Dodgers were still playing their regular season games in Brooklyn the franchise was one of the first to conduct spring training in Florida. The Brooklyn Dodgers first spent spring training in Vero Beach, Florida in 1948. Holman Stadium was built in 1953 to give the Dodgers its own spring training home. When the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles in 1958 the team continued to train at Holman Stadium.

The Los Angeles Dodgers were the last team based on the West coast to still travel to Florida for spring training, but offers from the Cactus League to stay out West soon became too lucrative for the Dodgers to continue to ignore. The Dodgers moved to the newly-opened Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona in 2009.

This move made sense for many reasons but one of the biggest had to be the massive fan base awaiting the Dodgers in Arizona. Since California is just one state away from Arizona and many people that formerly lived in California had moved to the neighboring state, Arizona already had a loyal base of Dodgers fans. Camelback Ranch quickly became a very popular spring training spot for all spring training fans.

LA Dodgers fans can purchase Dodgers tickets through this site and help support a tremendous charity in the process. The Charro Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization which works to strengthen the quality of education in the community and create opportunities for both students and educators to make a difference in the lives of the youth. The Charro Foundation provides scholarship funds to high school seniors pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Education, as well as teachers wishing to obtain their Master’s degree in Education.

Camelback Ranch features twelve practice fields, a massive seating capacity of 13,500 and a fully stocked lake. The Chicago White Sox also train at Camelback Ranch and the lake separates the two teams’ facilities. The stadium is conveniently located just west of the 101 Freeway in Glendale and offers free parking to all baseball fans.
